The project involves the rehabilitation and conservation of a 16th century convent, including the design of new vaulted houses.

Considers the origins of Alentejo architecture and heritage, vaulted ceilings, pigmented lime plasters and ceramic tiles, in an intrinsic relationship between colour, texture and form.

The vaulted spaces are a reference to the heritage value of the convent’s ceilings and also create a rhythm in the landscape, integrating the new architecture into the natural context.
